Somewhere along the way I made a wrong turn. I'm sure that deep in the caverns of my psyche there was a moment in my childhood when I became a wimp. I'm happy to report I am finally growing out of that and growing into half a man. There was a time when the thought of being on a motorcycle terrified me - a part of me still thinks it's dangerous and silly. However this new part of me, the half that is man wants one. It's a stereotypical guy thing yes; but soooo cool. My tastes draw me to late 30s bikes like this one: The 1937 Nimbus Luxus. Does it look like a Radio Flyer tricycle? You bet your sweet ass it does. For some reason this bike speaks to me. It practically screams "I'm trying over here!". The rounded edges and warm red and cream colors are a perfect way to ease me into manhood. The bike is like me: semi-cool and completely non-threatening. I would probably get a sidecar for my dog because that's how I roll.
The Nimbus Luxus has mostly disappeared and is very hard to find - Unless you're part of this weird inner circle of motorcycle guys, which I clearly am not. If I had to guess they probably run about $8k.
This week ITS is being curated by [DYLAN WISE]. Dylan is the creative director of TMSDOTORG as well as host, producer, writer and overall fancy-pants. He cannot afford all these things but sometimes looking is as good as owning, right? He is on twitter because he is very important.
