Owning a globe says you’re worldly — you’re familiar with geographic relations — you’re interested in global affairs. At least on a very, very small scale. But it’s a start.
I’ve always wanted one to call my own but disliked the old-world, dated-classroom style of most globes. The Corona globe however is a different beast. Designed by Nendo in a minimalist aesthetic that subtracts information and adds emotion.
Looks like the world IS black and white. And she’s a beaut.
Fun fact: Despite our tallest mountains and deepest trenches, if Earth were the size of an 8 ball, it would be smoother than said 8 ball.
This week ITS is being curated by [GREG BECK]. Greg is an Ohio-born New York-based graphic design do-gooder and amateur space enthusiast.
