I spent a good part of my adolescence trying to wear the right clothes. When baggy jeans were cool my parents wouldn't let me have them so, I had to improvise. I wore overalls with a t-shirt over them so it just looked like really baggy jeans. I wore band shirts for bands I didn't like, because old band shirts seemed cool. I walked around with vintage jackets that smelled, skate shoes, like a walking poster for trying hard.
Now in my almost-thirties I am trying to do something else. I am trying to make sure that the things I wear reflect the person I am/want to be. That's why I have been transitioning all of my clothing to be items that are made in America. I threw together the video below to try to explain.
