Episode 35: Vibe's Collar with Joshua Hale Fialkov

Welcome to another installment of The Hour Cosmic, your favorite comics game show! This week, our guest is writer extraordinaire Joshua Hale Fialkov!

On this week’s show, among other things, we discuss:
-The devouring of burgers!
-Ice cream!
-The most original Spider-Man pitch ever!
-A special contest!
Let’s meet our guest, shall we?

Joshua Hale Fialkov is a 12-year veteran of working in the sequential arts, currently writing the "Hunger" miniseries for Marvel Comics. He is launching a new digital book right now - literally, right now - called "The Bunker," illustrated by the great Joe Infurnari. If you go to the website and sign up for the newsletter, you can read it right now, ahead of the Monday ComiXology release date. Check it out here. In the past, Josh has written "I, Vampire" for DC, "Alpha: Big Time" for Marvel, "Last of the Greats" for Image, as well as the Eisner nominated "Tumor" for Archaia and the Harvey nominated "Echoes" for Top Cow and "Elk's Run" for Villard. He has a website, a Facebook fan page, and can be followed on Twitter (@JoshFialkov). As always, your hosts are:

Chad Bowers – South Carolinian, GI Joe enthusiast, co-writer of “Subatomic Party Girls" “Down Set Fight,” and “Awesome Hospital” with Chris Sims, and writer of “Monster Plus.” He teaches us cool expressions like “Oh, snakes!” and has a lot of opinions about barbeque.

Matthew Meylikhov – Bostonian, cat and beard enthusiast, co-writer of “Detective Space Cat” with Colin Bell, writer of “Morning Glories Babies,” "Morning Glories Academy Study Hall" (both backmatter for the Image Comics series "Morning Glories") and “Control,” and letterer extraordinaire. He reads more comics than anyone on the planet, and has sworn off White Castle for life.

Brian Salvatore – New Jerseyan, New York Mets enthusiast, host of “Input/Output,” a music podcast, and occasional blogger/freelance writer. He has never met a dog he didn’t like (even that one that bit his leg when he was 10), and has baked better bread than he ever thought possible.
